We have been involved in refurbishment projects for some years now and enjoy helping our clients to remodel and create their ideal home, with the latest technology.

Thorpe Bay - Maplin Way
Mr & Mrs. Solanki - "We used Dean on a small job in our previous house to see how he performed. we then appointed him to do a complete refurbishment on our new much larger property, an extension and restructuring of some internal walls. It was a first for us. Dean guided us from the outset starting with architect, planning, ideas, opinions, designs. He gave time, attention, communicated promptly by phone text and email, took on responsibility and managed the whole job extremely well. Service, time keeping, reliability, cleanliness, quality of work, sorting out snags, personal touch are all his real strengths. He instilled a sort of confidence from the outset which was important so we could carry on with our own business, not worry unduly and sleep well at night. All of his workmen took their time but did an excellent job. Would we have him again? Of course, Yes!" Description - This was a complete refurbishment of an aging property. The house was totally replastered, rewired, re plumbed! two extensions built at the rear of the property, internal structural walls were removed to create a large open kitchen diner as you can see in the pictures. In addition to this a new main bathroom was installed, master ensuite, 2nd ensuite and a downstairs toilet. A stunning example of a renovated home.
Westcliff - Hornby Avenue (Hardie Plank)
Roger, John & Hayley - "After years of trying to renovate our property ourselves, we decided to employ DCS to conduct, what was in effect, a complete rebuild. Having seen first-hand a previous project they had undertaken, we had confidence that DCS were the team to do it. A project of this size was never going to be completely straightforward and inevitably some problems occurred, which were swiftly and professionally resolved by the DCS team. At all times the DCS team conducted themselves politely and cheerfully. They continually provided good ideas and inspiration for the project and when changes did occur we were fully consulted and informed. In what was a stressful 3 months for everyone involved we are extremely happy with the end result and would never have achieved this standard on our own. Even a year after completion the property still receives compliments and is a credit to Dean and the DCS team. Thank you" Description - This was a Major refurbishment which involved removing every wall and rebuilding the entire property.
Hullbridge - Lower Road
Mr & Mrs. Richardson - "Thank you for your work, as always - Quality finish and reliable service!" Description - When this professional couple asked for advise regarding the refurbishment of their new home we advised certain ideas and suggestions. They were happy with our guidance and we have carried out other work since then
Westcliff On Sea - Hornby Avenue
A complete metamorphis from ugly duckling to beautiful swan, this project allowed us to have free reign over design and layout of the house, when you peruse the pictures you will see what we managed to achieve, for example moving walls around allowed for a full bathroom to the first floor with separate showering area within the bathroom, and of course a really high class finish to all areas. You will see the tremendous results achieved simply by viewing the front of the building and how much the aspect has been improved. This ensured the client sold this property after the refurbishment at a much higher value than even the local well established estate agents suggested, in fact a further 25% was achieved on the sale, this highlights that a decent refurbishment can add real value to a property. We removed every wall, insulated and added a vapour barrier to prevent condensation, new plastering to the internal areas, rendering to the external walls, all adding to the thermal value of the property and achieving a high sap energy rating for the dwelling. All this was required as the property was a steel frame “howard house” one of the few types of steel framed buildings that mortgage companies will lend money against. Asbestos panels and chimney and boiler flue liners were removed by a licensed contractor and disposed of with certificates to prove where the waste ended up.
Victoria Plaza - Gills Independant Eye Care
This project was really exciting for us, we hadn't been involved in commercial work for some years as the paperwork had become a burden for anything commercial, and the dreary finish of commercial buildings didn't thrill. Sam Gill asked me to work withnher in designing a real modern optical showroom, and allowed the project to develop and evolve as the work progressed. Some unusual touches are the curved wall to house the optimap machine, and the curved customer seating area. The green colour was inspired by Julie Sasse, an excellent co ordinator of colours and design, a client we had already worked for in Benfleet.
